Script changelogs, versions 2.x.x

Hi everyone.

Since the script now had a complete rewrite, I decided it would be best to keep a new changelog. The old devlog will be kept in the development board, but will no longer be used. It is also no longer representative of what is actually in the script, because of the complete rewrite.

The rewrite started on 17 July 2017, according to the GitHub commit history. At the time of writing, the script is up for public testing. It is still missing some rather important bits, so those will be added soon.

Updated Note
Some hotfixes won't be posted here anymore as of 15-10-2017. So if there's a gap somewhere between versions, the missing post was most likely a hotfix.

Update 2.1.1b


Properties
In this update the property system (houses and businesses) received an overhaul of the way properties are created and loaded. This has given us the possibility to expand the
system that was in place with some new features, like automatic house numbering and the assigning/caching of streetnames and zipcodes.

Garage system
A garage system was added. There are two types of garages; standalone garages and linked garages. Like the name may suggest,
the linked garages are linked to a house. This means, it cannot be bought separately. When you buy the house linked to a linked garage,
you also automatically purchase the associated garage (included in the house price).
Standalone garages however, can simply be bought by issuing the cliché command, /buygarage. You can store as many vehicles in your garage
as you wish. Please do note though, that storing a lot of vehicles in the same garage might increase your chances of damaging them, which will
probably lead to a trip to the LS Mechanics.

Licenses
Licenses are finally added! Although one of the basic things, they totally slipped away on the to-do list. There are four types of licenses in the game in this update.
The first three can be acquired at the DMV (/locations, /dmvhelp).
  • Standard driver's license
    The standard driver's license applies to normal cars.
  • Heavy vehicle license
    The heavy vehicle license, as the name suggests, allows you to drive heavier vehicles like trucks and vans.
  • Motorbike license
    The motorbike license allows you to drive motorbikes and quads.
  • Weapon license
    Unlike the above licenses, this license has to be issued by a qualified LSPD officer. With this license, you are allowed to be in
    possession of a firearm.

Some new and missing features were added in this update.

Added missing features
A few missing commands were added related to factions. Admins can now set faction leaders. Faction leaders are able to invite people into their faction, and are able to fire them as well. In addition to that,
faction members can also resign themselves using the /resign command. Faction leaders can promote/demote members too, using the command provided.
The factions were using one default rank along with a default salary. 6 ranks have been added to each faction (including salary), which should be enough to start off with.

Vehicles could not be sold in the previous versions of the script. This has been fixed, and vehicles can be sold back to the dealer just like you sell a house or garage.

New features
Properties and vehicles can now be sold to other players. In most cases, this will prove more profitable than selling property back to the real estate agent (/sellhouse, /sellbiz, /sellgarage) or vehicle dealer, because
those only pay 60% of the original price. If you have a lot of furniture in your house, you ought to get more for it in return. By selling the property to a player, you can make your own price for it and sell it to them. This also
applies to vehicles, these too can be sold to other players.

Other
This update also contains some minor bugfixes and behind the scenes improvements.

Update 2.2.0b



Characters
In this update, we modified the original account system in order to allow multiple characters per account. For now, you can have up to 3 characters in your account. Be sure to act
wisely, because at this point characters can and will not be deleted. All your assets (properties, vehicles, items) are separate between your characters. Meaning
you can start fresh with a different character. While you're ingame, you can switch character using a simple command (/charactermanager), this is also displayed upon spawning.

Master account
To log in to the game (and UCP), you will use a master account. This means, that you can use any name to get into the server even if it's not a roleplay name. Once you select a character, your displayed
name is automatically changed to that of your active character.

If you encounter any bugs or errors, please be sure to let us know in the bug report section. A lot of things have changed under the hood, so the tiniest mistake could prove problematic.

Update 2.3.0b

In this update the vehicle system got a nice little boost. Sicke has opened his mod garage at the docks, allowing you to upgrade your car.
I also took the time to address some annoying bugs and improve overall performace.

New features
Vehicle tuning
Vehicle respray
Added /payfines and /payvehiclefines
New LSPD interior
When all mechanics are offline, you can repair your vehicle at the mechanic garage
More locations added to /locations

Bugfixes
Fall through Unity floor (sometimes) after character switch fixed
Vehicle engine and lights now turn off after vehicle respawn
Fixed issue with GPS only allowing you to navigate to an address once
Fixed inventory bug which showed other's inventory items to players
More smaller under-the-hood fixes
